Faculty at St. John’s Episcopal School donated more than $250 to the American Heart Association as part of the Go Red for Women campaign, which raises awareness of cardiovascular disease in women. Staff members gave $5 each to wear a red shirt and jeans to school last Thursday. As snow blanketed the playground and parking lot, many were happy to ride out the storm in comfortable -- and bright -- clothing.
St. John’s also supports the American Heart Association through its annual Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser. Over the past 13 years, St. John’s students have raised more than $80,000 for American Heart.
