The day was dark, gloomy, cold and misty, but that didn't dampen the spirits of our annual Christmas parade. The streets were lined with our great citizens, from youngest to oldest, waiting in anticipation for the parade to pass by. There were floats, marchers and cars alike to entertain us. The look on the childrens faces as the parade passed them was worth the fighting of natures elements.
I'd like to send out a congratulations to Peggy's Country Cafe for capturing the Best in Theme trophy. For those of you who don't know about the Cafe, It was the old Lone Oak Cafe. This is more or less an historical site for Balch Springs, as it is the very first restaurant still in operation here in our city. Drop by sometime for a good home meal and say "hi" to Peggy.
Now for the Thanks to the committee that organized this event. They do a terrific job at organizing. Kudos to them!!!
