Collin County students blazing the Carry-alongCollinTrail will receive special recognition from the Collin County Historical Commission November 7, 2009, at the Battle for Myers Park Civil War Re-enactment. Each will receive free admission to the MyersPark event and will be presented certificates of participation by the Collin County Historical Commission. The certificates will be given on Saturday, November 7, at 11:15 am at the historical commission table and display in the Show Barn.
Although numerous students have already completed their visits to the eight museums featured in the 2009 program, there is still time for students to make museum visits. Activities at each participating museum will continue thru the month of October.
