Folsom Elementary located in Prosper, TX, celebrated the beginning of their school year this week. With local growth came a large influx of new students. The “Be a Folsom Friend” program ensured that new students in grades 1-4 were greeted by their “Folsom Friend” who is showing them the ropes and helping them get to know the rest of the class. The first day of school was a smooth success thanks to hardworking and well-prepared staff. Teachers and faculty helped parents learn the traffic routes and made sure every student was greeted with a smile and found their way to their respective classes. Kindergarten Parents were treated to the annual “Boo-Hoo/Woo-Hoo Breakfast” in the library organized by the Parent Teacher Organization. The first day of classes also marked Principle Brenda Keener’s Birthday. Kids and teacher lined the halls for a surprise singing of happy birthday.
