Troop 57 Goes East
Boy Scout Troop 57 spent the week of June 14-20 at Clements Scout Ranch near Athens, Texas. Sixty two Troop 57 Scouts and adults spent the week camping, hiking, horseback riding, shooting, swimming, boating, and blobbing. Troop 57 received the Baden Powell Award and was recognized for displaying the most Scout spirit in camp. Over 80 merit badges and numerous Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class requirements were completed. Six Scouts and two adults were called out for the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s national honor society. Twenty one first year campers participated in the Clements Scout Ranch Rangers program. They received walking sticks after completing the Ranger program. Troop 57 is chartered by First United Methodist Church of Garland.
