Something about pickin’ Blue berries must bring out the romance in people!! On June 24, fifty seniors from the HeritageSeniorCenter went Blue Berry pickin’ in Edom Texas. Only 105 degrees and in the red zone, but that didn’t stop these eager seniors! Roberta and J.T. Johnson decided to celebrate their 67th wedding anniversary in the blueberry patch. How does the song go?…”I found my thrill, on Blueberry Hill….”. Seconds after arriving At BlueBerry Hill Farms, the seniors ate a sack lunch, did some shopping and then headed out to the B-patch! Recipes shared and great stories told of pickin’ berries as a youngster made for a great time of sharing on the trip! Now..did I hear that there are peaches to be plucked???
