Six seventh grade students at The Westwood School in North Dallas recently received special recognition at the Duke University Talent Identification Program ceremonies held at the Academy of Math and Science at the University of NorthTexas. Spencer Kuiper and Alex Upshaw were recognized at the national level as well as the state level for their high scores on the SAT test. Rachel Ijames and Melanie Vargas received state recognition for their SAT scores. Donavan Castorina and Alexzandra Gardner achieved scores on standardized testing that qualified them for the TIP program. Alex and Rachel will be attending special camps this summer designed for talented and gifted students. TIP identifies students who score in the top 5% on national standardized testing.
