Starbucks will host American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life Frisco Kick off Event- January 12, 2009 from 6-8pm Relay For Life Frisco will be hosting a Starbuck’s coffee night at the Preston Road location in Frisco (

3511 Preston Road

). January 12, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

 

At the event Relay For Life Frisco will be giving out more information on Relay and signing up teams to participate in the up coming relay. Teams of eight to 15 members gather with tents and sleeping bags to participate in the largest fundraising walk in the nation. Relay For Life unites friends, families, businesses, hospitals, schools and churches ... people from all walks of life. Teams seek sponsorship prior to the Relay, all with the goal of supporting a cure for cancer.

 

In its 11^th year, the 2009 Relay For Life Frisco will be held May 1stand 2ndfrom 7p-7a at Memorial Stadium, located off of

Main Street

and

North County Road

. Last year more than 1,500 people participated and the event raised more than $160,000 for the fight against cancer.
