Kids will have a blast building snowmen and making snow angels at Uptown Village at Cedar Hill Friday, Dec. 12 and Saturday, Dec. 13 when the shopping center’s Village Green is transformed into a winter wonderland with real snow, provided by the Dr. Pepper Starcenter of Duncanville.

Family-friendly radio station KLTY 94.9 FM will get the fun started Saturday with a live remote from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. At 12 p.m., UptownVillage management will draw the name of one lucky winner for its “12 Months of Christmas” promotion. The winner will receive a total of $15,000 in prizes from Uptown Village between Dec. 2008 and Dec. 2009. The prizes will be distributed on a monthly basis, with the first prize being a $1,500 Uptown Village gift card. The winner will be contacted by phone and is not required to be present to win.

In addition, UptownVillage will host an appearance with two Dallas Stars Ice Girls from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.  Santa also will be on site to visit and take photos with kids.
