Cole suffered a season ending injury in late October and is healing well and expects to be back in his karts preparing for the next big national race in Daytona, Florida by mid December. Cole and his family are making preparations to depart for Florida on Monday December 22, 2008 to compete against 50-60 of the nations best drivers in his class at the end of the year.
Cole will be focused primarily on National level races with the STARS of Karting Series and the World Karting Association Series to try and become nationally ranked in the top 10 spots. In addition, he will be racing regionally in the Southwest Regional Cup in order to qualify for the Rotax Grand Nationals held in late September 2009. Between the National and Regional series that will fill approximately 20 weekends for 2009 and Cole expects to race in 8-10 local events (North Texas Karters) for friends and family to enjoy. Below is Cole’s National Schedule and it will be filled in with regional and local events in the coming 30-60 days.
