The value of a normal screening mammogram can cost as much as $250.00. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, PHR will be offering this screening at a discounted rate of $75, October 1st through October 31st, 2008. This includes the cost of the client’s screening mammogram and the radiologist’s fee. Interested clients should call (469)698-1100 to schedule an appointment. Saturday appointments are also available on October 18, however limited space is available.
Mammograms are X-rays of the breast that are used to see lumps and other changes in breast tissue. The mammography unit at PHR produces optimal images with faster exposure times using the least amount of radiation. The result is less discomfort and a lower probability of re-testing due to motion blur. “Soft touch” mammography pads are used to make the procedure more comfortable for clients.
