Shelton School is getting ready for 840 students to return to its campus on August 25.In preparation, the school is buzzing with activities.Supplies are being received that will go to classrooms.Construction of six classrooms is being completed.Orientation has been conducted for 23 new employees, and in-service for 232 returning faculty and staff begins August 11.In addition, the Parents’ Association is making plans for the coming year.Co-Presidents Barbara Novotny and Diane Byrd are mapping out plans for the Charger Corral school store, a moms’ retreat and several fundraisers.Dads’ Club President David Goldstein is lining up a back-to-school dinner on August 28, a tailgate party and an annual fall retreat to Sky Ranch.Says Executive Director Joyce Pickering, “All we need now is the sound of laughter of our students as they return from their summer holiday vacations.We’re ready!”
