Dallas is Love hosted a fundraiser on Friday July 18 at Arranda’s Sports Bar and Café. Many valued guests were present. Former Dallas Cowboys Tony “Thrill” Hill and Robert Newhouse came out as well as former NBA player Ira Terrell. The event was full of excitement when Tania Foster opened up the evening with a special thanks to all those who attended. AAFES (Army and Air Force Exchange Service) public affairs’ Major Walton had an operating system where people could order gift cards for the troops through an AAFES marketing person at the event and Dallas is Love supporter Vi Hancock of Blue Cross Blue Shield made an appearance as well. Many of the guests were able to meet some local military personnel who came out and joined the fun. Everyone had a great time especially with the karaoke entertainment going on. Dallas is Love would like to give a special thanks to all those who attended the fundraiser and those who donated. The organization hopes to collect even more donations over the course of the next few months leading up to Christmas time so they may send a number of gift cards to the troops this upcoming holiday season.
