Local favorite singer entertains kids with original songs and fanciful characters
Everyone’s invited to come and do “The Woo Woo Dance” with Eddie Coker, Dallas’s own favorite children’s singer/songwriter. The performance, set for Friday, July 18 at 2:00 p.m. at The Shops at Willow Bend, is the grand finale for Week of Summer Fun hosted by the shopping center.
Billed as a highly talented and wryly humorous songwriter, Eddie Coker delights children with his original and inventive lyrics that contain sensible and mature messages about real love, our valuable minds and making the most out of life. Many of his songs quote from Shakespeare, Lincoln, Emerson and Norman Vincent Peale all in the same number and still appeal to children.
Coker’s performance, held in Grand Court (lower level near Neiman Marcus) on Friday, July 18 beginning at 2:00 p.m., offers parents and children the opportunity to enjoy the fun and sing along, too. No charge to attend, but parents are asked to remain with their children.
