Thrift Store opening in Royse City
Royse City shoppers – get ready to find bargain treasures at the new Helping Hands Thrift Store in your town beginning July 8.
A treasure trove of goodies at every day bargain prices will be available at The Thrift Store at RoyseCity, 508C Interstate-30. Doors open at 10 a.m. on July 8 with a wide selection of better merchandise that will include clothing, household goods, home décor items and some quality furniture pieces.
A familiar face to many Thrift Store shoppers, Rosie Ortiz will be sales floor manager of the new facility. Rosie has been with Helping Hands for 15 years.
“We are thrilled to have Rosie in our new RoyseCity store,” said Margo Nielsen, executive director of Helping Hands. “While it is a big loss for our Rockwall Thrift Store, we know she will be a big plus for our new store.”
The new store will be a smaller version of the Rockwall Thrift Store, and it will be stocked with mostly upscale merchandise that is so generously donated to Helping Hands by our wonderful community, said Melody East, program director of Helping Hands.
The Helping Hands Thrift Store has always been the place to find good bargains – and the place to shop for antiques, designer clothing and almost-new furniture.
“We are so pleased and excited to offer our friends in the RoyseCity area a more convenient location to shop and experience the great bargains our Thrift Store has to offer every day,” Mrs. East said.
The Thrift Store at RoyseCity will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. It is located in a strip shopping center near the Family Dollar Store on the north side I-30 service road.

Rockwall County Helping Hands is a non-profit organization that provides residents short-term assistance in times of crisis. The agency offers referral services and a food pantry along with the Thrift Store. The HealthCenter at Helping Hands provides quality healthcare for low income residents and to people with no health insurance or high insurance deductibles.
Please consider joining our family of “helpers.” Helping Hands depends on financial donations from the community to continue our work of assisting people in need. We also welcome volunteers and donations to our Thrift Store in Rockwall. At this time, the RoyseCity location will not be able to accept donations.
