About CCA: The charitable organization was established Feb. 22, 1973, and services eight school districts, including Frisco and Little Elm.
CCA was founded by: A group of churches.
What CCA does: In the spirit of Jesus Christ, Christian Community Action ministers to the poor by providing comprehensive services that alleviate suffering, bring hope and change lives.

The number of volunteers who help with CCA: More than 2,500.
CCA food program: Distributes more than $1.1 million in food to families.
Most people don’t know: That more than 1,660 people have been provided with budgeting and tutoring classes, job training, English as a second language and GED classes, as well as job placement services.
CCA’s health services include: More than 1,500 patients being seen each year by volunteer doctors.
Those health benefits extend to: Nearly $675,000 in prescriptions that are distributed to those in need.
The Kids Eat Free program: Provides more than 50,000 lunches to children during the summer months.
CCA’s Back to School program: Makes sure that more than 1,400 children receive new shoes, school supplies and two sets of clothes before the school year begins.
Christmas at CCA means: More than 2,900 children receive toys each Christmas.
Our three resale shops: Create more than 110 jobs and generate gross sales of $5.5 million per year for the ministry.
CCA’s next project: To expand the vocational training program.
