TrinityChristianAcademy’s Upper School Theater department entertained audiences with their hilarious production of George M. Cohan’s play, Seven Keys to Baldpate, April 25-27.The play is based on the novel by Earl Derr Biggers.

Seven Keys to Baldpate is a mysterious, melodramatic farce. The story takes place at the Baldpate Inn, a summer lodge that is closed for the winter season.William Magee, a writer of dime store novels has made a bet with the owner of the lodge that he can write a novel in twenty four hours. She sends Magee to the lodge with the only key to the inn for peace and quiet to write his book.Magee soon discovers he does not have the only key to the inn as he is continually interrupted by various unusual characters that could have come straight from one of his books. He soon becomes embroiled in their plot of blackmail and murder. As the mayhem escalates, the question becomes, will he be able to finish his novel.

The cast of fifteen was directed by Kristi Robison, upper school theater teacher and student directed by Meredith Moore. The stage manager was Breanna Eubanks.  In addition to rehearsals, the cast spent many weekends building the set designed by Chris Emory.
