On Thursday, May 8 and Friday, May 9, Bradfield Elementary second-graders took turns hosting their Mothers to a Mothers Day Tea Party. The children made beautiful flowered bonnets for each Mother to wear at the party. Special cards were created and read aloud from each child to their Mother at the event so that each child could tell their class how special their Mom was to them. Kleenex boxes were provided for the teary-eyed Moms, and many "Aaaahs" and "Ohhhhhs" were exclaimed after each child professed how their Mom was the best Mom for them. Lemonade and cookies were served by the children. The party ended with a delightful song and many hugs.
