Garage Sale to Benefit Olympic Athlete

0 Ratings / 0 Comments
The Dallas area has an Olympic athlete in its' midst!   Gina McWilliams, volleyball coach with Ignite International Youth Volleyball Club, will play this summer in the 2008 Beijing Paralympics as a member of the USA Women's National Sitting Volleyball Team.  While Coach Gina is excited about the opportunity to play in the Games, she is no stranger to international competition.  She was a 2004 Athens Paralympics Bronze Medalist, serving as the Captain of the USA Volleyball Team, and she has played in numerous other international competitions as a paralympic athlete.

Ignite International Volleyball Club will host a garage sale on Saturday, May 17th, to help raise money to cover expenses leading up to  the Olympic Games for Coach Gina and her children.  It is her heart's desire to have her children accompany her to the Games, so Ignite's goal is to raise enough money to provide that dream for her.  The garage sale will be held in the Castle Hills neighborhood just off of Hebron Parkway and Josey Lane at 1214 Sir Mallory Lane, Lewisville.   From the corner of Josey Lane and Hebron Parkway -- Go west on Hebron Parkway to Standridge Drive -- Take a Right on Standridge, then turn Left onto Damsel Katie Drive -- Damsel Katie will make a right-hand turn at the bottom of the hill and becomes Sir Malory Lane -- 1214 Sir Malory Lane will be on your left.

Please consider stopping by the garage sale to support Coach Gina before she travels to Beijing and makes us all proud!  You can shop 'til you drop, or consider making a monetary donation to help the cause!  Looking forward to seeing you there!
