Max Blanck, a third grader in the Gifted and Talented class at E.L. DeGolyer, selected endangered/threatened animals as the subject of his independent study. Max has always been interested in animals, their habits, and special adaptations.
After reading an article in a magazine about endangered/threatened animals, Max decided he needed to learn more about the topic. He is pictured with a model of a zebra that he constructed from balsa wood and other materials. Max also prepared a PowerPoint presentation of his topic.
