Cambridge School of Dallas’ Caitlin Makatura won first place in the TAPPS 3A State Golf Tournament at The Trails of Frisco Golf Course on April 21^st and 22^nd.   She shot an 89 and 80 during the two-day championship for a career low and had a 27 strokes lead from the second place winner. As the State Champion, she is also invited to play at the "Legend's Championship" at Barton Creek during this summer. Coach Soo Chang stated, “We are thankful to the Lord for giving Caitlin such a passion and gift for the sport and thank Caitlin for her leadership and example to the rest of the girls on the team.”  The Cambridge girls’ golf team placed third overall in the state competition.Elise Armstrong, Camille Driver, Kelsey Knowles, and Anna Savage made up the rest of the five player team.   The team also placed 2nd in the District and 3rd in the Regional competitions this season.
