Feeding the Future

Thanks to generous donations from faculty, staff and fellow students, The Colony H.S. was able to raise $2370.00 for the North Texas Food Bank and the Food for Kids program.  This program helps feed students in need on the weekend.  We have been very blessed that our administration is big on service projects that help the local community. At the faculty meeting two weeks ago, Principal Becky MacDonald asked for the faculty to help raise funds to help our kids.  And without fail, the community came together for a worthy cause.  Daily collection of change and personal donations from everyone helped raise enough money to feed 500 students in the DentonCounty area for many weeks to come.  This was a selfless act on the part of many administrators and staff to coordinate such a big project, resulting in many individuals sacrificing time and money to help our young people for a brighter future.
