Mathews Elementary Multicultural Night

Mathews Elementary School held its annual Multicultural Night on March 27, 2008. The event included a parade of nations, fashion show, musical programs by first and third grade students, and various dances by students from Mathews as well as older students from surrounding schools. Many children and their families wore beautiful, traditional clothing from their countries. Cultural artifacts were also on display. Arts and crafts tables consisted of origami and Chinese lettering. The event gave the Mathews students and their families an opportunity to share their heritage with one another.
