Duncanville High Hats Present 26th Annual Spring Show

The Duncanville High Hats will be presenting their 26th Annual Spring Show entitled, “It’s Ladies Night!” on Friday, April 11th & Saturday, April 12th at 7:30pm at the Duncanville High School Alexander Auditorium.
There are approximately 20 different dance numbers including a guest performance from the Elementary Hip Hop Class from Dance Expressions Studio in Red Oak.
THE HIGH HATS AND THEIR DIRECTOR, KRISTI BEATY, HAVE BEEN WORKING FOR OVER TWO MONTHS TO PUT TOGETHER THIS FABULOUS SHOW. SPRING SHOW ITSELF IS A TRADITION THAT STARTED IN 1983(which by the way was Mrs. Beaty’s Senior Year), BY THE DIRECTOR AT THE TIME, MRS. CINDY ENGLISH. EACH SPRING SHOW SHOWCASES SEVERAL DANCE NUMBERS. EACH SQUAD PERFORMS, ALONG WITH THREE ENSEMBLE DANCES(TAP, LYRICAL & JAZZ), THE HIGH HATS OF THE WEEK, THE HIGH HAT COUNCIL, THE CAPTAINS SOLO, AND THE OFFICER DANCE. AS TRADITION WOULD HAVE IT, SPRING SHOW IS NOT COMPLETE WITHOUT THE EVER-POPULAR “THEN & NOW” VIDEO PRODUCTION WHICH TAKES US BACK IN TIME WITH EACH HIGH HAT’S BABY PICTURE, FOLLOWED BY A RECENT PICTURE. THE FINAL NUMBERS, “ONE” AND “IT’S NOT WHERE YOU START IT’S WHERE YOU FINISH” HAVE BEEN A PART OF SPRING SHOW SINCE ITS BEGINNING. THOUGH THE THEME OF SPRING SHOW CHANGES EACH YEAR, THE IDEAS AND CHOREOGRAPHY OF THE CLOSERS HAVE REMAINED THE SAME THROUGH THE YEARS. IT IS A VERY MEANINGFUL AND SPECIAL EVENT FOR CURRENT HIGH HATS AND PARENTS, AS WELL AS FORMER HIGH HATS AND PARENTS.In correlation with the Spring Show, the High Hat Booster Club will be having a silent auction with lots of great prizes to bid on with proceeds going to benefit the High Hat organization and provide a Senior scholarship.
