Area members of the Northwood Woman’s Club (NWC) will participate in the upcoming “Dine by Design”, now in its seventh year. Members and guests will enjoy a morning of viewing creative and original table designs by some of the area’s top designers and retailers. Lunch will be served at the Bent Tree Country Club event and Channel 8’s Gary Cogill will speak about the ups and downs of being a movie critic. Music will be provided by Dave Tanner.
This event scheduled for April 15th, to which the public is invited, helps to fund important non-profits supported by NWC. They include Children’s MedicalCenter at Legacy, Collin County Children’s AdvocacyCenter, Endowed Scholarships for Women at UTD, Contact Crisis Line, Interfaith Housing Coalition and Promise House. The Mission Statement of the Northwood Woman’s Club (NWC) is: “To foster interest and participation in helping to meet the philanthropic needs of our community and to stimulate the intellectual, cultural and social development of its members.” Since it’s inception in 1968, NWC has proved successful in its endeavor to meet this statement by winning numerous awards for their Community Service Programs and a total in Philanthropic Contributions exceeding $3,000,000.
