Lady Jaguar Egg Hunt Egg-traordinaire
The joy of hunting Easter Eggs is not just for the young of body, but also for the young at heart. The Flower Mound Softball Lady Jaguars along with HeritageGardenSeniorCenter donned their rabbit ears and smiles to host an Easter Egg Hunt for the Center and surrounding neighborhood children. The Easter Egg Hunt is a tradition dating back to 1878. Originally, Easter eggs were painted with bright colors to represent the sunlight of spring and were used in Easter-egg rolling contests or given as gifts. The Flower Mound JV Lady Jaguars kept this Easter tradition alive and well, presenting colored Faberge’ eggs to each of residents at HeritageGardens. Along with neighborhood children and grandchildren of the residents, the Lady Jaguars, hunted for eggs, filled with jellybeans, chocolate and toys. The Jaguars presented each child with a stuffed Easter Bunny donated by Kohl’s.
The Flower Mound Lady Jaguars remain focused on their mission of Paying it Forward.
The Jaguars continue to support the Denton County Friends of the Family, with monthly collections and donations. Additionally, the Jags will be supporting the All Kids are Important at the Circle R Ranch April 5, as well as the 5 K Run for Caden, Saturday, April 12.
