On Wednesdays from 4 - 5 pm, the choir room at Oak View Baptist Church is filled with joyful sounds coming from "The Jubilee Singers."
Under the direction of Woody Schober, Oak View's senior adult choir (ages 50+) gathers together in a relaxed atmosphere for a time of socials and singing.
"These seniors have a real heart for praising God," Schober said. "They want to continue lifting up their voice in praise, and part of the ministry is just coming together in the fellowship. It's very relaxed in here, and we're continuing to develop our abilities and talents. No matter what age you are, you can still sing and praise God."
One Sunday a month, the Jubilee Singers perform at Oak View during the 6 pm worship service. They also sing at nursing homes and retirement homes in the area. For more information about the Jubilee Singers, please call 972-790-3629.
