Miracle League of Frisco Reaps Benefits

0 Ratings / 0 Comments
On March 15th, FC Dallas Foundation hosted a charity game between FCD and the Los Angeles Galaxy at Pizza Hut Park, for the Miracle League of Frisco and UNICEF.The Miracle League of Frisco (MLF) offers children with all levels of disabilities, ages 5-19, opportunities to play league sports including baseball, soccer, bowling and soon cheer leading & gymnastics.  Starting with their success in baseball, in September 2006 the Miracle League of Frisco became pioneers in a big way by offering a soccer league for special-needs children. The vision is to have special-needs children playing right alongside their peers in other youth leagues. This year, MLF added the option of a unified team, for higher functioning special needs athletes. The Miracle League of Frisco is one of the very few - if not the only - Miracle League chapters to both offer soccer and have their own soccer field. The league is open to special-needs children throughout North Texas. For more information about MLF, go to: www.friscomiracleleague.org

As a side note, FC Dallas player Pablo Ricchetti is an active supporter and participant with the Miracle League of Frisco.
