Marquettes Win Big at Mavs Competition
The Marcus High School Marquettes received the Best in Class award this past Saturday (March 8) at the American Dance/Drill Team Dallas Mavericks Competition. Due to this award they also were given the honor of performing at halftime of the Mavericks-Nets game Saturday night at American Airlines Center. In addition to the Best in Class award, the Marquettes were also awarded Division I Superior Team and their director Alice Dack was voted Curtain Call Outstanding Director. Marquette Jr. Lieutenant Caitlin Magill was the winner in the solo division followed by Marquette Captain Sydney Nelms as 1st Runner Up, Marquette McKenna Davis as 2nd Runner Up, and Marquette Sr. Lieutenant Rachel Miller as 3rd Runner Up. The Marquettes are thrilled and very proud of their achievements as well as their director's award!
