Stargazers invited to view the skies at "Star Parties" set this Spring at Farmers Branch Historical Park

FARMERS BRANCH HISTORICAL PARK ~ The long, cold winter for local amateur stargazers is officially over with Star Party for the spring season, scheduled for Monday, March 10, and Thursdays, April 10 and May 8, from dusk til about 9 p.m. at the Farmers Branch Historical Park. High-powered telescopes will be set up in the meadow at the park, provided by the Texas Astronomical Society, with members on hand to lend their expertise and assistance. The event is free and open to the public. The Farmers Branch Historical Park is located at 2540 Farmers Branch Lane, between Denton Drive and Ford Road. For more information, call the park at 972-406-0184 or log on to the Texas Astronomical Society at www.texasastro.org. In the event of inclement weather or heavy cloud cover, the makeup dates are Thursday, March 13, Monday, April 14 and Monday, May 12.
