In two Saturday's from now, we will know who the first Rockwall Idol Final Contestant will be! That is becuase the first preliminary competition begins on Friday, Feb. 8th! If you are interested in showing the rest of Rockwall what you've got, then make sure that you log into www.RockwallIdol.com and get registered to compete. This year's winner will receive a $500 cash prize and a recording contract to complete their very own CD!!!! Don't miss out on the most exciting night of competition in the metroplex. The final Idol event is on March 29th at the Hilton Bella Harbor Hotel at the WomenAid benefit event. The proceeds from the Rockwall Idol go to help women and children in Rockwall County. Rockwall Idol is brought to us by the Soroptimists of Rockwall. Soroptimists are a group of women who are committed to seeing that the needs of families all over Rockwall county are addressed through health, dental and vision care. Well folks, it is only 3 weeks away and I can already feel the buzz! If you drive down I-30 towards Dallas you'll see a huge billbaord asking if you are the next Rockwall Idol. So Are you? The first three finalists have been decided and now there is only one wek left to go until the final Rockwall Idol Finalist is chosen. So if you have vocal skills and you think you have what it takes, then be at Rockwall High School at 7:30pm for the final competition! Registration is only $10 per song and remember, you are singing for a good cause! All proceeds go to help serve seniors, women and children who have health care needs.
