Have you seen the Trinity River Audubon Center? Come join us on our pilgrimage on Nov. 10th to enjoy a beautiful fall day in nature. We will begin with a quick business meeting at Sunnyvale Town Hall (127 N. Collins, Sunnyvale, TX) at 10 am. Immediately after adjournment we will be carpooling to The Trinity River Audubon Center (www.trinityriveraudubon.org) . You will need to bring a sack lunch to enjoy n the overview deck. Admission is $4 per person. Remember to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. The Negotiations Center at The University of Texas at Dallas presents “Crisis Negotiations: Terrorists and Hostages,” a lecture by Dr. Wayman Mullins at 4:30 p.m., Tues., Nov. 10, in the School of Management’s Davidson Auditorium. Mullins will draw from decades of firsthand experience as he describes how to negotiate with terrorists and hostage-takers. The lessons he’s learned, he says, can be applied in daily negotiations. Mullins is a professor of criminal justice at Texas State University and has extensive experience training others in hostage negotiations. Admission to the lecture is free. The Negotiations Center is an interdisciplinary hub for producing and promoting research on the mix of economics, psychology and business.
