The Ballet Folklorico of Dallas was founded in 2002 under the direction of Alice Marie Arriaga. The groups consist of students from 4 to adult. The talented and energetic dancers of the Ballet Folklorico of Dallas are committed to promotion cultural enrichment, awareness and to educate future generations on traditional Folklorico. The group shows our youth discipline, respect, self-esteem and how to learn and grow together. The Ballet Folklorico of Dallas has appeared in frequent locations such as The State Fair of Texas, Euless Arbor Daze Festival, Ice House Cultural Center yearly events, Farmers Market Food Festival and Imagination Celebration. In 2005 & 2008 the Ballet Folklorico was selected to perform for celebration of America’s Musical Heritage at Walt Disney World and Epcot. Paws In The City is an all-volunteer nonprofit 501(c)3 organization committed to ending the abuse, neglect and overpopulation of Dallas area dogs and cats. Our goal is that every adoptable dog and cat get a loving home. By providing money for spay/neuter and increasing the adoption rate, we take the first step in making Dallas a no kill city. Our group has spent many years rescuing and healing the abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and cats of our community. We place dogs and cats into foster homes and then into permanent adoptive homes. We also conduct offsite adoptions for the City of Dallas municipal animal shelter. Every dollar raised by Paws in the City goes to foster, adoption, medical and spay/neuter programs. We also have a lot of fun - our fundraisers are well known for being the most innovative in Dallas.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit Chapter of USA Dance, Inc. whose purpose is to promote ballroom dancing in the communities of Colleyville, Coppell, Denton, Flower Mound, Grapevine, Highland Village, Lewisville, and Southlake; and to educate the public regarding the physical, mental, and social benefits of ballroom dancing. Our Southlake chapter welcomes beginner dancers and helps them get started in ballroom dancing. Talented dancers are encouraged to become DanceSport Athletes under the training of our coaches, who are the 2007 United States American Smooth Champions. Through social dance programs that include free dance lessons to members, collegiate programs, youth programs, DanceSport competitions, and performance teams, we work toward the recognition of ballroom dancing as an art form, a lifetime recreational activity and an Olympic sport. Please join us as we strive to bring the joy of ballroom dancing to as many people as possible.

Troop 753 is located at Aldersgate UMC in Carrollton Texas. We are a medium sized, Boy-led Troop. We have a fine Trail to First Class arrangement to kickstart our new boys right into Boyscouting.
