The visual cues that Christmas is coming are already everywhere. The day-after Halloween the pumpkins and candy were marked for quick clearance to make way for the supposed "most wonderful time of the year."
You may be experiencing a jumble of emotions that are difficult to sort out, especially if you are separated from your spouse, recently divorced, or realizing that you will be alone Thanksgiving and/or Christmas day. Coping With the Holidays is a two-hour workshop that provides an opportunity to develop a plan that will give you comfort in not only surviving the holidays, but in walking through the holidays with renewed strength, peace and joy.
Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church will offer Coping With the Holidays on two occassions: November 15 and December 6 from 6 – 8 p.m. in our church parlor. Insights and practical tips can be gained by watching a video featuring the reflections of persons who’ve made it through the holidays while dealing with heartache and loss. There will be the chance for group discussion and participants will also receive inspiring holiday devotions.
PHPC DivorceCare facilitators host the evening. Light snacks will be served and childcare is provided with 48-hour notice. No-cost registration is required by contacting Cathy Bell, cbell@phpc.org or 214-368-6348 x 127.
The next complete DivorceCare seminar at Preston Hollow begins January 5, 2010.
Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church is located at the northeast corner of Preston Road and Walnut Hill Lane, 9800 Preston Road, Dallas, 75230.
