After finishes at the back of the field in each heat race, Cole hit the track on Sunday's practice and turned in the best times of the field. This did two things: proved to Cole that he was a front runner and let the team know that they had the kart, he just needed to get it in the front draft pack. Unfortunately, starting in row 6 made it difficult to get to the front draft pack quick enough to remain with them before they pulled from the field. Cole ended up finishing 10th in the pre final and 8th in the final thus capturing his goal for the race weekend and also his best finish in these National series. Cole and his team are getting the Cadet chassis close to being setup for these events and will next visit New Jersey for the Championship Karting International Series second race of the season at the end of June. He is also competing this week in the IKF Grand Nationals at Eagles Canyon Road Course in Texas.
