Cole Glasson Wins his 67th Race and Money

This past weekend was full of great racing, lots of money, more trophies, and another win for Cole Glasson. The weekend started off with the KART Regional banquet at SpeedZone in Dallas where Cole received his trophy for finishing in the top 3 of the 2008 Kart Regional Series. The next morning it was off to the races to complete the Outlaw Series in Denton where the last race would help determine who came away with the money.
Cole had a great race weekend as temperatures made the track slow and tuning critical. As usual, Cole’s tuner, sponsor, and coach- DJ Ortiz, had him in the front. Cole finished 3rd and 4th in his K80 and finished the series winning over $100 in cash. He looks to be prepared for his first STARS of Karting race in a couple of weeks in Ocala, Florida. In his Mini Max, he once again turned near record breaking times with sub 40 second lap times. He qualified outside pole only 3/100ths off the pole position. In the prefinal he took a great start and the lead and won his 67th race and would begin the final on pole. In the final, Cole had a bad start and never could get back to the leader who was also running near record times and ended up coming in 2nd, but also moving him up to a money position in the series where he brought home over $100 more dollars. Cole and his tuner leave for Florida in two weeks to hopefully come home with another great finish and a high National ranking.
