Mesquite, TX - Nearly 75 people gathered in downtown Mesquite Saturday afternoon to celebrate the opening of State Representative Robert Miklos' District Office. Mesquite Mayor John Monaco was in attendance and signified the grand opening with an official ribbon cutting.

Representative Miklos, who represents Mesquite, Balch Springs, and Sunnyvale, said he was overwhelmed by the show of support and interest.

"I think the variety of folks here - Republicans, Democrats,  City Council Members and concerned residents - shows that we are moving in a new direction in District 101. We recognize that there are serious issues to address, and that we need to address them together."

"Our Office is open for business," said Miklos. "I want people in this District to know that they have a voice in Austin and that I am here to help.  This office belongs to the citizens of House District 101.  I hope this office will be a resource for residents when they need assistance from their government.

There needs to be a clarification made on the  Inaugural celebration being held in Mesquite on Jan. 20th.

Donations to cover the costs of the celebration goes directly to and ONLY the Dallas County East Democrats club (DACED)
