I think I’m starting to understand what it means to get “star struck.” This past weekend, Twilight mania hit the country yet again with the release of the DVD March 21.

I realize I’m probably a little too old to be borderline giddy over the Twilight series of books (My favorite is Eclipse), but I don’t really care. It’s fun. And, I’m not the only one.

Tonight, thousands of fellow fans (excuse me fanpires or whichever fan nickname you prefer) will be attending midnight DVD-release parties around the country. How will you be celebrating?

As much as I claim to like cold weather (I really just like winter clothes), it was extremely difficult to make myself leave my apartment at all last weekend. So, when Saturday rolled around and it was time for me to get ready to go to the Exchange Club’s Lake Highlands Live 3, I was dragging my feat. Little did I know that once I got there my weather-induced grogginess would disappear completely.

I hope that everybody is staying warm despite the November chill. With the recent time change and drop in temperature, it’s been harder and harder for me to crawl out of bed in the morning. There is one major thing to look forward to, however, and that is the holiday season. (more)

Today, I woke up bright and early for the first day of school. At a quarter after 7, I hit the road for ForestridgeElemenetarySchool, where I met principal Kathy Higgins some teachers, families and anxious students.
