Three things I love right now

1. Wacom Bamboo*: Art/design geeks know what I’m talkin’ about, but the rest of y’all may need to consult this link. This digital pen tool is allowing me to realize the artistic skills I lack with paper and pen. Anything that helps me make an illustration of a frying pan that looks tough and bad @$# is pure gold.

2. Ishmael, by Daniel Quinn*: It’s a thought-provoking, controversial book. But it’s an important book. Many of the concepts Quinn addresses are not new to me; but if I had read Ishmael 10 years ago, I wouldn’t have had to discover the ideas/lessons on my own. I’m only halfway through this novel, but it’s already near the top of my all-time favorites. It’s a perspective changer.

3. Life in general: Too many other good things to detail. Too many other good people and places that are making a difference in not only my life, but in the lives of so many others. If you're reading this, there's a good chance you are one of these terrific people. Thank you.

*Hat tip to Irving editor Cassie Clark for convincing me a Wacom is an essential piece of equipment for any serious designer/graphic artist and for recommending Ishmael.
