Starting a new business can blow your mind. The internet has made this is such an exciting time to try new ventures. This is the beginning of Sly Innovations and my journey to success. So, now that I am attempting to start a blog, I need to find out how to do this. How much time does one dedicate to blogging? Do you keep the same name for each blog? I have been working for 2 years getting my product produced, patented, packaged, trademarked and finally shipped! It is available in a few stores, and I was featured in the Dallas Morning news last Saturday in the Metro section, and now I need to create more brand awareness.

So, yesterday I discovered that a pet store/boutique had a few requests for my Doody Duffle because of the article in the paper.  Great! Is this perfect timing or what?  Apparently not.  This store wants to make sure that the other stores that are currently carrying my product have actually sold some of them.  So now I need to direct some buyers to The Yap, Dee's Doggie Den, City Pet Supply, or Park Cities Pet Salon.  I need to get the word out, but I don't want to spend more money until I have exhausted other free avenues of marketing. I am sending out my press kits and DVD's to the media, and I had a booth at the SPCA Strutt Your Mutt last Saturday, but I need more!  What Dog shows are coming up that might have the appropriate "boutique" crowd? Clearly I need more information and helpful suggestions.
