A great way to support your local community is by supporting local arts. Studio B offers that opportunity by bringing the community performances year-round. Studio B’s productions feature local talent including children and adults. You can come here and expose your children to live theater as well without driving all the way to Dallas. Studio B is a non-profit community theater and is now offering “Alice in Wonderland” weekends May 1-10. What better way to support the arts by coming to Studio B?

 

“Alice in Wonderland” is coming to Studio B! Join Studio B as Alice goes on a madcap adventure through Wonderland. This is the classic Disney musical tale of Alice as she chases the White Rabbit down the rabbit hole and meets up with some curious creatures. The Dodo Bird, Tweedles, Caterpillar, Cheshire Cat and the Mad Hatter help her on her way to the Queen of Hearts. Will Alice win the match of Simon Says against the queen and find her way home or will it be “off with her head”?  Show runs May1, 2, 3, and 8, 9 and 10.

 

This version of Alice in Wonderland is brought to you by Studio B Performing Arts Center as a youth community theater production. The cast ranges in age from 8 to 16 and will run for six shows. The cast is as follows: Madalyn Webber as Alice, Caitlin Rogers as Tall Alice, Allie Micaletti as Small Alice, Sarah Cagle as Mathilda, Katie Decker as the Cheshire Cat, Jake Singer as the White Rabbit, Miranda Hamilton as the Doorknob, Sabrina Austin as Dodo Bird, Marley Fischer and Molly Webber as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, Morgan Andersen as the Caterpillar, Ryan McDearmont as the Mad Hatter, Tori Micaletti as the March Hare, Kelly Bach as the Dormouse, Bria Mick as the Queen of Hearts, Bryce Giacumakis as the King of Hearts, Anna Hutton, Bailey Orman, Kaitlyn McDearmont, Danielle Darvin, Maggie Mahoney, Audrey Anna Watkins, Natalie Powell, Ashley Theriault, and Sophia Kaied as The Girls of the Golden Afternoon, Audrey Reeves, Camille Marvin, Olive Bieni, Lizzie Buckman, Katie Romig and Shelby Jackson as Royal Cardsmen, Cassidy Powell, Ashlyn Moore, Rachel Franks and Avery Brown as Garden and Wonderland Chorus and Ali Long, Kiely Hunt, Jessia Machelski, Sarah Machelski, Madison Nelson, Bridget Hendry, Declan Hoch, Ryann Bruck, Kaitlyn Moseley, Dana Lauchner and Haley Henry as the Ocean Chorus.

 

Show opens Friday, May 1 and runs weekends through May 10. Times are 7:30 on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2:30 on Sundays. Tickets for “Alice in Wonderland” are now on sale. Reserved seating requires pre-payment of tickets. General admission tickets will be available at the door. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors, and $10 for children 10 and under. Community theater is a lot of fun and there is always something going on at Studio B. Studio B is a non-profit community theater in Highland Village and right now the theater is presenting Neil Simon's "The Odd Couple". Now is your chance to see this hilarious play about two recently divorced men with very different personalities trying to make it work as room mates. Opening weekend got rave reviews from all that came to see the show, so reserve your tickets today.

 

“The Odd Couple”, stars Ken Orman as the obsessive neat-freak, Felix Ungar and Scott McDearmont as the messy sportswriter, Oscar Madison.  “The Odd Couple” originally hit Broadway in 1965 and was then followed by both a film and successful television series. This story follows two recently divorced friends with very different personalities, trying to make it work as roommates. This show is directed by Robin Hackett, and will run Friday, February 29, Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2. Times are 7:30 for the Friday and Saturday performances and 2:30 for the Sunday performance. Ticket prices are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors & students and $10 for kids 10 and under. Group rates are also available for seniors and other group organizations. Studio B is located at 1 Nelson Parkway at 2400 FM 407 in Highland Village, right behind Celebrations.
