In the spirit of Independence Day, I wanted to find a way to thank the troops for all they do. But the best idea I came up with was to send them a care package of shoes.

There are many ways community members can help the United Service Organizations Dallas/Fort Worth. One is to donate items, which are distributed to soldiers through various programs.

When it comes to the lost art of etiquette I'm, well, lost.

Thankfully, neighborsgo.com has its own resident manners expert, Elise McVeigh, who knows which direction to pass the potatoes.

I finally found a plant for my front porch.

Problem is, I have no idea what it is. There were no tags on it at the store and when asked about caring for it, the friendly, but not-too-knowledgeable clerk said maybe I should water it. No joke.

Do you know what kind of plant this is and how I should take care of it?

This week, I'll be meeting with neighborsgo's own Mrs. McVeigh, our resident expert on everything etiquette. And not a minute too late, either. 

After a great deal of investigation, I have found at least a temporary solution to my "daily grub" problem: switching from microwave mush to rabbit food.

I am sick of sandwiches. And soup. And microwave meals? (Question mark intentional.)

But frankly, that's all I know to make for lunch that is fast and cheap. Does anyone have any other ideas?
