Greetings Fellow Texans!
I'm am honored and pleased to have been asked to lead the North Texas Professional Home Stager's Round Table Discussion.
Although the exact date, time and place have yet to be determined, I am fully confident that we'll be able to make this Round Table a rousing success!
Please keep the first two weeks in January 2008 in mind (most likely the week of January 7th) for the upcoming Stager's Round Table Discussion. I am going to be working to secure a location, most likely one of the National Furniture Rental companies we do business with as a partner for our meeting.
Bring your ideas, your vision and yourself for a one of a kind, meeting-of- the-minds to grow our industry further.
Please feel free to contact me as well with your questions or comments. I fully realize we have Stagers on Active Rain from all over the State and know location may be an issue for some.
This Event is OPEN TO ALL HOME STAGERS WHETHER A MEMBER OF ACTIVE RAIN OR OTHER GROUP OR NOT
REALTORS: Please mention this to Professional Home Stagers you know who may be interested in attending!

The International Association of Home Staging Professionals (IAHSP) Foundation is launching the 3rd annual World Wide Staging Service Week, September 9th - 16th, 2007. The Dallas IAHSP Regional Chapter (DIRC) is "set to stage" Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity'scommon community areas. Members of DIRC will be transforming the common areas of Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity offices for the benefit of all clients, guests and employees of the organization who visit this facility. A children's area, a reading nook and a warm inviting seating area are just a few of the changes in store. In addition to the community center, DIRC will also "stage to dwell" the home of a recent Habit for Humanity homeowner. This will include ASP staging services as well as providing furnishings and accessories for their home. A cash donation to the Ronald McDonald House is also being made by DIRC.
Members of IAHSP around the US and Canada will come together during this week to help local organizations and individuals in their communities who are in need of Staging services. Places such as nursing homes, schools, women's shelters and individuals in need of selling their homes are potential candidates to be staged.
IAHSP is comprised of 125 local chapters and approximately 2,000 Accredited Staging Professionals (ASPs). IAHSP is the Home Staging Industry's professional association recognized as the voice of home Staging and sets the benchmark for excellence in the hottest trend in real estate. ASPs will volunteer their time, talents and personal resources to work for the betterment of the communities that they serve and transitively enhance the quality of lives through service to others.

I've recently joined another FREE on-line resource for marketing my business called MerchantCircle.
I am learning the ropes of it and have successfully created my profile and have used other features available including a "coupon" service.
For a limited time only, I will be offering a Verbal Staging Consultation Coupon for anyone who visits the site and would like this service for their clients or themselves if selling their home in Collin County or surrounding areas. This can be used for Vacant or Occupied properties, not yet listed for sale or even currently listed and not getting the results you want.
Please print out the coupon and give it to your clients or use it for yourself. Coupon must be presented for discount.
This service is by appointment only and subject to availability. This is a great value and if you've never used the services of a Professional Home Stager before, this would be a great opportunity for you to get to know just how we work.
For information on what a Verbal Staging Consultation is, please visit the Services page on my website at Home Star Staging (or just click this Services link now for more details)
For those of us with children in PISD we are counting down the last few days of summer vacation!!! At least we are in the our household.
We had an incredibly long 3 full months off this summer and during that time we did lots. It actually went by faster than I thought it was.
From taking a much needed family vacation in the Smokey Mountains of Western North Carolina (beautiful scenery and great temps although I came back with a few souvenirs of my own - bug bites of unknown origin - I think they were in the blackberry bushes that I ate from continuously...)
to working, summer school, volleyball camp, reading, writing, staying up late, sleeping in (children), bbq's on the back deck, swimming, sunning and celebrating the passage of one child to 16 and the other to 12 - looking back now it was a great summer.
The regular routine of school is finally about to start.
I actually felt a change in the air tonight - or maybe it was just that I left my back door open and the A/C was running out..... Anyway, we're back on "schedule" come Monday morning and honestly, I cannot wait!
Back to school here in Plano, TX on Monday, August 27th.
If you haven't already checked the City of Plano website here's some information from their latest press release for motorists on August 27th.
Of course the first day is always crazy for traffic. Thankfully one of my children has a good enough sense of self to ride the bus for part of the year. Thank you Lord!
Remember to be patient, it's going to be nuts and the safety of our children is first and foremost.
I'm looking forward to the new school year with much anticipation. I can still recall how I felt each time the new year rolled around.
Please feel free to share your summer memories here and how you spent it.
I hope you and yours had a wonderful summer!
