Kristyn Pomranz and Katherine Steinberg, both online editors at AOL, created I Can Has Cheezburger: The MusicLOL out of a mutual appreciation for the site." Read more, courtesy of The Wall Street Journal... of all places.

The popular game comes to life on stage! Six people are invited to Hill House for dinner & for a little something else. In this spoof, the characters and plot are drawn from the popular Parker Brothers board game of the same name. On a dark and stormy night, six individuals come together for a dinner party at the mansion of Mr. Boddy.
Boddy's butler, Wadsworth, assigns each guest a colorful name: Mr. Green , Col. Mustard , Mrs. Peacock,  Professor Plum,  Miss Scarlet and Mrs. White.
The servants, the Cook and Yvette, the maid, assist Wadsworth as he informs the guests that they have been gathered to meet the man who has been blackmailing them: Mr. Boddy. When Mr. Boddy turns up dead, however, the guests must try to figure out who killed him so they can protect their own reputations and keep the body count from growing. Was it Colonel Mustard in the study with a gun? Miss Scarlet in the billiard room with the rope? Or was it Wadsworth the butler? Meet all the notorious suspects and discover all their foul play. You'll love their dastardly doings as the bodies and the laughs pile up on stage, right before your eyes! Come see this fantastic comedy that results in 4 different endings!

A Chorus Line is still playing at Fair Park as part of the Dallas Summer Musicals. I went to the matinee on Sunday to see what, in my opinion, is the mother of all live dance musicals. And granted it may not have been a singular sensation but it still delivered the look, style and emotion that one would expect from this classic production. (more)

neighborsgo contributor vcravens posted this amazing story about the McKinney production of "The King & I." Turns out, 20 of the 50 cast members are related!

Community theatre is often a family affair, with members of the same family appearing in shows and helping behind the scenes, but this year’s McKinney Summer Musicals’ (MSM) production of “The King & I” is taking this tradition to a whole new level. Twenty members of the fifty member cast are related, according to director/choreographer Kevyn Robertson.

I love the Wizard of Oz. There is something endearing about this band of 4 travelers, each seeking something that seems so far from their grasp. Their friendship is a wonderful picture of finding what you desire through helping others achieve their dreams. Any time I have the opportunity to see this production I take advantage. It never seems to grow old or lose its luster.
