Here are a few of mine: I'd love to know yours! :)
I'd always yearned for a white Christmas tree. We always put up the same artificial tree ever year, though. And then one year my father (Papa) surprised me by waking me up one morning and telling me to get ready because we were about to leave to go choose that perfect Christmas tree I had always wanted. It is definitely a wonderful memory, yet ironically I never wanted one again afterwards because it was the messiest one to clean up after the holidays!
One Christmas Eve when I was a small child, I was at our annual family reunion at my great grandmother's house. All of my cousins, my sister and I were upstairs and were looking out thru the window. And all of a sudden, all of us at the same time screamed out, "There's Santa Claus!!!" We all saw Santa Claus with his reindeer riding across the sky - so we all ran downstairs as fast as we could and asked our parents to please hurry, get us home so we could get in bed b/c Santa was on his way right then and there :) - we all still remember that moment so clearly to this day! So yes, I do still believe in Santa Claus!!!
One Christmas morning, when I was younger, there was a note I pulled out of my stocking, and on it, were the words, "I'm taking a nap. Come and wake me up. Love, your Christmas present." So I went to the bedroom and discovered Curious George doll lying underneath the covers. It was a gift from my sister.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
Love & Peace,
