Contributors are continuing to go above and beyond to give us the best stories and photos for publication.
Carol Kerns, daughter of Raymond and Dorothy Kerns of Plano, wrote an article celebrating her parents’ 65th wedding anniversary in January. She describes how they first met in Ohio and continues through their interesting lives together to present day.
Peggy Murphy has undoubtedly been one of the best contributors we’ve had from Murphy. She always gets us great photos and stories with all the correct information in a timely manner. She has written about the Murphy Fall Celebration and the city’s Cub Scout Pinewood Derby. Both of these stories made a cover package. Anytime I ask her if she has information about a Murphy event, Peggy never hesitates to track down what I need quickly.
Another great contributor is Staci Witten, who leads the health ministry at First United Methodist Church of Plano. Not only has she been a regular submitter of stories to neighborsgo.com, but she also created a “Healthy Living in Plano” blog to regularly post helpful information leading up to the church’s Healthy Living Expo Feb. 2.
The contributor who submits most frequently is Angie Carroll, HeritageFarmsteadMuseum’s volunteer coordinator. She sends in content at least every other week, but usually on a weekly basis. Anyone who submits a story one time shouldn’t think future stories won’t also get printed. I’m always happy to print more materials coming in from regular contributors.
Vicki Cravens, who handles communications for the Plano Youth Leadership program, is also submitting to neighborsgo.com on a regular basis. She uploads photos and makes sure we print information about upcoming PYL events.
If you’ve never submitted to neighborsgo, don’t hesitate to get in touch with me via my profile at neighborsgo.com/angela. And if you have sent us information in the past, I hope to hear from you again soon.
