It’s no accident that we call our “best in business” vote the Neighbors Choice Awards. It is because you, the readers, choose your favorites.
And more than 2,000 of you did just that via online voting to make the 2010 Neighbors Choice Awards the biggest and best yet!
This results edition is full of recommendations from your neighbors on where to eat, shop, work out and play in your community.
Many cities and chambers have set up special programs to encourage shopping and dining locally, and we hope our effort is viewed in the same light. Neighborsgo wants these awards to help encourage and support the local businesses and services that our communities depend on and cherish – especially in such economically challenging times.
Our print editions cover a lot of territory. You can view all 17 Neighbors Choice editions online as PDFs. You may just discover some new favorites nearby or rediscover some old ones that are worth the drive.
On behalf of Publisher Robert Jehling, Associate Publisher Oscar Martinez and the entire neighborsgo staff, congratulations to all the 2010 winners!
Kudos, too, to the city of Garland, where residents came out in full force this year to earn the title of "Top Voting Community."
This newspaper wouldn’t exist without your participation, so thanks again for connecting with us and please keep posting your great stories, photos and videos directly on neighborsgo.com!
Ready for 2011?
This year, your voice was heard in more ways than one. We received a lot of feedback, both positive and negative, about our online voting process.
Neighborsgo is constantly seeking ways to improve, and we take your feedback seriously. Easier voting, more choices and additional categories are among the few things we plan to improve in 2011.
We welcome your suggestions and your nominee applications for next year’s awards.
If you would like your business or service included on the 2011 ballot, please visit neighborsgo.com/vote, complete the nominee application and e-mail it back to us at community@neighborsgo.com or mail it to us c/o neighborsgo, 508 Young St. Dallas, TX 75202.
