A historic metal grain silo that was built between 1936 and 1950 at Main Street and John Elliott Drive collapsed during the recent storms.
The silo is pictured in the book, Frisco First 100 Years, and a part of the Frisco Grain Co.
The silo, which sat on a city-owned tract of land, wasn’t in use and will probably be cut up and auctioned as scrap material soon, said Janet Maccubbin, downtown coordinator with the city.
