Women's Roller Derby has taken over Dallas

Saturday Night's Allright for Fighting (With Assassination City Roller Derby!)
ASSASSINATION CITY ROLLER DERBY CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND NOV. 15 & 16

Dallas league hosts 2008 Championship Bout and 2009 Calendar Release Party / Skater Auction in an Action Packed Weekend

( Dallas , TX )---You've waited (and we've skated) all season for this!  The Assassination City Roller Derby Championship Bout grudge match "The Day The Rink Stood Still" happens Saturday, Nov. 15, followed by the 2009 Calendar Release Party on Sunday, Nov. 16!

In the double header championship blowout, Assassination City 's 2006 champions, the Lone Star Assassins, go toe-stop to toe-stop with the undefeated team of the 2008 season, Bombshell Brigade.  With skaters like LuAnn Splatter, Mona Brus'r, and Red Hot Rage, it's sure to be night of hard knocks and fast women!  And if you like the way the women play, you know you wanna see how the men do it!  Be sure to check out the first bout of the evening--a men's roller derby expo presented by the Dallas Deception, Dallas' only men's roller derby league! The evening kicks off at 7:30pm, on Nov. 15 at Dad's Broadway Skateland, 3022 Moon Dr, Mesquite, TX 75150, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Dallas Women's Foundation.  Doors open at 7:00pm and bouts are BYOB, no glass.  Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Kids 10 and under get in free. Buy tickets in advance from www.acderby.com <http://www.acderby.com/>  or at the following locations: Dad’s Broadway Skateland, HD Tavern in Lewisville, and Pluckers on Greenville.

Join us af the after party immediately following the bout at Lee Harvey's, 1807 Gould St. in Dallas.  After a bout, we're always up for a burger and a beer at the firepits!  www.leeharveys.com <http://www.leeharveys.com/>

Make sure to keep that championship ticket stub and bring it the next night, Sunday, Nov. 16, to Club Dada in Deep Ellum, where Assassination City will be rolling out it's 2009 Roller Derby Calendar at 7pm that evening to the sounds of Spector 45.  Take the opportunity to rub elbow pads with the girls, sponsors, and photographers who put the calendar together  And, if you write your name on your championship ticket stub, you can drop it in a drawing for a free calendar or a 2009 Season Pass before you can even buy them!  You must be present to win, and you must be present to participate in Assassination City's very first "skater auction"!  Bring your cash (and your A-game), and if you're lucky, you might be the highest bidder on "a picnic in the park with Pyro Maim Ya" or "a skate date with the Dixie Witch"!  Buy a calendar--or a derby girl--at Club Dada, 2720 Elm St in Dallas.  You'll be glad you did.

Women's roller derby, the nation’s fastest-growing sport, combines speed, action, aggression and feminine grace. Assassination City went from a dream to a Dallas destination in 2005. The member-owned league is part of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association.
