Assassination City Roller Derby Hosts "They Came From the Track" Oct. 18
It's time to lace up the corsets and roller skates!The Deadly Kennedys face the Bombshell Brigade for the first time this season on Saturday, October 18, 2008. With some new and promising young skaters, can the Deadly Kennedys pull the plug on the undefeated Bombshell Brigade? And if you love women's flat track roller derby, wait till you scope out how the men do it! Dallas' only men's roller derby league, Dallas Deception, will take on Arkansas in a brutal, all out throw-down you'll never forget!
In the first contest, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m., Assassination City's The Deadly Kennedys team will take on the Bombshell Brigade. The hell-raising will continue with the second game of the night between two totally AWESOME men’s teams; Dallas Deception and Arkansas. There will be blood. There will be beatings. And there will be some seriously wicked skating moves, with a portion of theproceeds going to the Dallas Women's Foundation.
Assassination City bouts are held every third Saturday night through September at Dad’s Broadway Skateland, AND THIS IS THE FINAL BOUT!!! Women's roller derby, the nation’s fastest-growing sport, combines speed, action, aggression and feminine grace. Assassination City went from a dream to a Dallas destination in 2005. The member-owned league is
part of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association.
